We spent hours wandering about the bustling Royal Mile, down the winding Victoria Street (which famously inspired JK Rowling in creating Diagon Alley), and into the thriving Grassmarket courtyard, where we found a bountiful selection of pubs and cafes. But it was the electric and kind liveliness of the Scottish people that loch-ed in our deep love.

This was our second trip to Scotland together – last second focusing on the gay scene of Inverness and the gorg beauty of the Scottish Highlands. We really fell in romance with the Scottish capital. Planet Bar is Edinburgh’s longest running gay bar. Celestial body is renowned for its friendly crowd, fun staff, low-price premium drinks, and entertainment. Drag DJs ramp it up on Friday and Saturday nights. For special occasion events you can guide the side lock or a booth.

Showtime Fridays bring you amazing local and international Drag Queens every week. Past line-ups have included RuPaul winner The Vivienne and finalist Baga Chipz, as adequately as the mythical Miss DQ. We also host karaoke, retro nights, Bingo and quizzes. Planet Exclude is know in Edinburgh for its involvement in local LGBT issues and campaigns. We contain events for Society Aids Day and a number of charities.

We are satisfied sponsors of the Hot Scots, Scotland’s first LGBT football team. The Hot Scots compete in the GFSN National League and Cup, as well as local and international tournaments. They would love to hear from anyone who would fancy to take part.

The oldest and most popular homosexual venue in Edinburgh. CC Blooms is a modish bar & restaurant by day and a classy nightclub by night.

CC serves excellent cocktails and modern cuisine, and bids a full wine and champagne list. The dance floor at the back of the venue is one of the gay hotspots in Edinburgh.
