Homosexuality in agriculture isn’t always what you envision it to be. For example, farmers liking farmers or cowboys having the hots for other cowboys. Even if we complete usually smell a lot better, dress better, and know how to defeat a lady’s heart more than the regular guys that isn’t the case. It’s about trying to be the person you are meant to be in an industry that may lack knowledge of a very diverse collective of individuals. People often think less of lgbtq+ men in agriculture because of their sexual orientation. They call them names and find themselves in awkward conversations due to lack of support because of lack of understanding. I am Logan Runyen and this is my story of homosexuality in agriculture.

FFA joins Pride in Sport to further promote inclusion in football
Football Federation Australia (FFA) has taken the next step in promoting inclusion in football for LGBTI employees, players, clubs, volunteers and spectators by joining Pride in Sport as a Foundation Partner.
Pride in Sport is Australia’s first and only sporting inclusion program specifically designed to assist National and Mention sporting organisations and clubs with the inclusion of female homosexual, gay, bisexual, genderqueer and intersex (LGBTI) participants.
They assist Australian sporting organisations with all aspects of LGBTI inclusion and work with members to achieve foremost practice as benchmarked by the Celebration in Sport Index in order to create better health outcomes for individuals by creating inclusive spaces through the reduction of homophobia, stigma and discrimination.
“FFA's vision is for football to be the largest and most popular sport in Australia. In seeking to attain this vision, FFA is committed to taking a governance role in ensuring that football is a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants,” said FFA principal executive David Gallop.

Students holding the first gathering of a Gay Linear Alliance at a academy in California were interrupted by classmates who reportedly shouted slurs, carried a banner reading "Make America Great Again" and followed them into the parking lot.
The inaugural meeting took place at Frontier Elevated School in Bakersfield on August 28. Afterward, according to a parent who posted on Facebook, a group of "straight kids" came in holding hands and shouting "This is what's right!"
The newcomers were members of Future Farmers of America (FFA), a 91-year-old youth organization that's typically nonpartisan. But, according to the parent, "lately [there's been] tension at the school between FFA and any kids they've determined as 'liberal,'" adding that "the gay collective is apparently the one they've decided to mess with."
One FFA member, a senior named Matthew, told KERO Channel 23 that he and other members were suspended for "harassment, intimidation and sexual assault."
But Matthew insists they only attended out of "curiosity" and says a GSA member instigated the altercation. "If you have an opinion that people don't agree with, you obtain hated on," he claimed.

FFA urged to come down hard on Western Sydney Wanderers fans over 'homophobic' banner
A gay and sapphic rights group wants Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Western Sydney Wanderers to sanction fans responsible for displaying an inappropriate banner during Saturday night's Sydney Derby at the Olympic stadium.
The banner depicted a blue-faced male, suggested to be Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold, engaged in a sexual execute.
"It's homophobic and obscene," New South Wales Queer and Lesbian Rights Lobby co-covenor Chris Pycroft said.
"I think anyone who has looked at it has probably felt quite uncomfortable, especially for something that's supposed to be a family friendly environment."
Pycroft said the banner highlighted the stigma lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people often encounter.
"Unfortunately the sad existence is that many people within the LGBTI group quite often experience homophobia in many different forms," he said.
"Whether it be visual or verbal abuse. I really consider they need to reconsider their position and their stance specifically on this."
